Candle care guide

1. FIRST LIGHT

On your first burn, allow the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container. This helps prevent ‘tunneling’ and allows for an even burn. Our long handled matches are the perfect tool for lighting.

2. TRIMMING OF WICK

Trim your wick to 1/4”  before you relight your candle. This helps keep the wax clean and allows for an even burn. Be careful to remove any debris from the candle before lighting.

3. COMING TO THE END

Always leave around 10mm of wax in the bottom of your container to prevent overheating. Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

4.THINK SAFETY

Only place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, and away from any flammable objects. Never ever leave a burning candle unattended. Always keep your candles out of reach of children, pets and away from drafts.

5.KNOW YOUR SPACE

Take your room size into consideration when choosing your candle size. Small candles will work best in smaller rooms, whereas large candles are best suited for bigger rooms or rooms with high ceilings.

6.DRAFTS OPEN DOORS/WINDOWS

Candles don't like drafts. Drafts can cause uneven burning and wick smoking/flickering. A calm candle flame that's free from drafts will allow the candle wax to melt slower with a clean, even burn. This slower burn will enhance the fragrance throw and lengthen your candle lifespan.
